Updating a pivot table
If you change the size of your data set by adding or deleting rows/columns, you need to update the source data for the pivot table. This way your data source will be updated automatically when you add or delete rows/columns.
Tip: change your data set to a table before you insert a pivot table.
If your Pivot Table is based on a connection to a range or table in the Data Model, you can choose another Data Model table or connection on the Tables tab.
At any time, you can click Refresh to update the data for the Pivot Tables in your workbook.
For example, you can expand the source data to include more rows of data.
However, if the source data has been changed substantially—such as having more or fewer columns, consider creating a new Pivot Table.
